Noted Berkshire artist, Douglas Flackman will be doing a demonstration of his work on Saturday, Septmeber 4th from 12noon -4pm. Alford resident,Julianne D. Bresciani, garden photograher, will also be present at this time. Please come join us for some last summer moments!
There will also be some selected work on sale as well as a clearance from the estate of Sylvan Furman.

As the seasons change, Berkshire Museum brings the outside in with art not only inspired by nature but using materials found in our natural environment. Berkshire-based artists Linda Horn, Ellen Grenadier, Joan Meakin, Carole Clark, and Anna Brahams will transform the Museum’s lobby into a forest of fanciful design. The exhibition will expand into the second floor, with more work by other artists, as an entry point to the Festival of Trees.

Timber Framing: A Traditional Approach

Participants learn the craft of timber frame construction using 18th and 19th century tools and techniques, completing the parts and assembling the frame of a small building. Instructional demonstrations and discussions supplement the hands-on learning activities. Tools and materials provided, students may also bring their own. Participants must register directly with instructors Jack Sobon & Dave Carlon.
