Outspoken is a monthly performance series and open mic held the 3rd Thursday of every month at Micro Theater (311 North St.) in Pittsfield, MA. Each evening showcases a featured performer(s) and several (5 minute) open mic slots. This month's featured artist is Hamell on Trial. HoT is a 1-man punk band, whose live shows are filled with irreverent (often profane and profound) humor, and hard-driving musicianship and storytelling rooted in a take no prisoners social consciousness. A funny and frightening old-fashioned murder mystery in the tradition of Agatha Christie and the old Universal horror movies. The year is 1935 and a well known New England Museum is about to unveil a newly found sarcophagus. Everyone gathers for the big event only to discover that the mummy is not in its case. Then the first murder occurs. Is it possible that the curse of the mummy is true?
